Editorial Research Lisa Carletta

I found it difficult to find a really interesting shoe photographer that takes photos that don't look like they belong in a catalogue. I came across Lisa Carletta and found her work really creative and in a different way to the last photographer I looked into. After looking into her work I noticed she didn't specialise in shows and was more a set up the scene photographer but I quite liked the idea she had. Just to show you what type of pictures she usual does is the one below.

The below Photographs are titled the strange village and the strange village part 2, I don't think they were meant to be solely focused on shoes but I do like the idea of her making the models look like giants walking round in big heels around a tiny little land. I feel this brings more focus on the shoes and with you not seeing the models faces. Thinking about it im not sure if she is trying to bring attention to the giant person and small village or the shoes. Maybe I have got it all the wrong way round. I do like the fact that they could be 2 different point to the photographs giant or shoes. Either way I like the idea and find them very interesting and I hope to bring the same interest into my work.
