Landscape Research
Well i managed to do all 14 films for the field camera and now it was time to go into the processing room which is always fun working in pitch black. trying to take negatives out of the slide and trying to put them into special folders and then place into the cage. It took me about 20 minutes to achieve this as i found putting them into the cage very difficult because i decided to fill every space up which didn't leave room for any error. I did find that they tangled quite a lot and at this point i started to get frustrated and was desperate to turn a light on. The only way i can explain how dark this room was is to tell you its like walking round with your eyes shut. Once i was happy that i had all the frames in the slots on the cage i then felt around for the deep tank to place the cage and all my negative in, i worked out that they had to be in the developer for 7 an a half minutes so i agitated for the first minute then 10 seconds every other minute. once the time was up i felt round the the stop deep tank and clumsily put the cage into that one closing the developer deep tank so i didn't by mistake place it back into the developer. After the 30 seconds were up i managed to fid and open the lid for the fix and managed to get the cage into that tank were i had to constantly lift and agitate for 5 minutes. which by the end felt like weight lifting exercise. Finally i could now turn on a light and see if any had developed right luckily i only had 2 that didn't work so i had 12 to ply with in the dark room.
