50 shades of something

Well this was a strange ask. I friend I knew wanted a picture to put up on her wall and wanted something to do with a shoe. I said id do the image but id have to get some bits and pieces. On my way home I thought I 50 shades of grey shoot would be brilliant for a high heel type shoe and it obviously had to involve it standing on a man. So I went looking through a prop bag I have and found a spanking panel a black feather fan and a garter belt.......don't ask. While on my way back over to my friends house I suddenly decided I needed black shiny tape (electricians tape would do nicely). When I got into Asda there was loads of different types of tape now without thinking I asked the assistant if I taped someone's eyes with this tape would it pull their eyebrows off?....The assistant looked at me panicked and said ill have to ask my manager she then ran off and told a circle of colleagues who then all looked in my direction and proceeded to make their way over to me. The manager than asked Why I needed to tapes someone's eyes closed? Which I then had to tell her my photo-shoot for 50 shades of grey type shoe shoot. We all had a very good laugh at the thought that I may have been planning on kidnapping some one.

Here are the 2 images I took one with the tie and the other without

Woodland Fairy

I have been desperate to get out and do a fairy type shoot in the woods in a place I found a while ago that looked like the trees where swirling into a tunnel in the back and thought this would be perfect for that type of image. So I managed to rope Fawn into helping me out and modelling a tutu I had made and she also let me do her make up again. Then we were off. I hadn't realised how much mud there was and my special spot had a lot of hills to get too, So as you can imagine there was lots of slipping and sliding  but well worth it when we finally arrived. Here are the images from that day already edited.

Gothic Beauty

I have a dark side that every now and then I love to divulge in. I don't think im the only person who has a dark streak in me but I feel lucky im able to express this in my images. I have a lot of people at the minute offering to model for me as im not a regular photographer and they find this very exiting to take part in as they have no idea what the finished image will look like. For this particular shoot Beverley was happy to model and usual was happy to go along with anything I wanted to do to the poor girl. Even if it did involve a grave yard, blindfold and fake blood. She was great and we really enjoyed the shoot. When I took these it had snowed which meant I could play about with my new snow programs in photoshop too win win I think don't you?

The one above is titled Blinded and I love this one it has an air of magic and spookiness about it

This one is titled scared prayer and I wanted it to look like she was casting a spell on a stormy night.

This one is titled Soul Keeper I wanted her to look like she was guiding the souls of the dead to the light and keeping a watchful eye over everyone.

This one is titled Wandering Soul I wanted to portray someone wise and someone who has walked the earth for 100s of years and knows her way round while she crys the blood of the innocent.

Creepy little dolly

Ok,  im really starting to experiment with Photoshop to see just to see what im capable of doing and of course having a little fun too. I always have back storys in my mind when I do these images and I feel it helps me create he feelings you get when you look at these. Now I asked Fawn if she was able to help me again and let me try out my make up skills I acquired last year on a diploma course I had did. (Well I did think if I was going to do photography being a make up artist would be rather helpful. So I researched some looks for a creepy doll so I had a good back ground for creating my own look. I was lucky enough to have ordered a dark Alice in wonderland costume and a wig hat would be great to create the look I was after. After I had made Fawn into a creepy dolly and handed her a choker necklace I had made ( yes I make the jewellery for the models to were too......im like a one man band ).

The back story for these images I took are that in an old Victorian house up in a dark attic is some disused toys and one of these toys is a dolly but this little dolly is cursed.....
I played about with shadows, lights and depth and no dogs...or teddy bears were harmed in the making of these images

with this one I played about with textures in my head I wanted it to look like a terrifying old photograph that had been found in a old chest full of Victorian family photos and this one creepy picture that shows the family's torment .

Red Riding hood is real and she lives in the woods near me

I've unfortunately had to leave my degree course due to my hubby having a motorbike accident and im now looking after him till his leg gets on the mend. I did have a plan to start setting myself up for my own business and bought I good few costumes and props ready to add to it...but as it happens I no longer have the money to do this.....Good news tho is I have bought enough to get me started. yeahhhh I hear you say! and yeah indeed I have had a lot of fun going out and doing fairy-tale themed shoots.

My first themed shoot was little red riding hood with a twist modelled by Fawn who is always happy to help me out so we headed down to our local woods with red riding hood and a plastic axe that I smeared fake blood all over...like you do. I can tell you we got a few strange looks from dog walkers and one strange man stopped and stared from 200 feet away hiding behind a tree, Let me tell you he give me quite a scare when I saw him in my lens. The reason I was out and wanting to do this shoot with the lovely Fawn is I had just bought some brand new software I was dying to try out. So here is a few from that day I hope you like them
