The below Photographs are titled the strange village and the strange village part 2, I don't think they were meant to be solely focused on shoes but I do like the idea of her making the models look like giants walking round in big heels around a tiny little land. I feel this brings more focus on the shoes and with you not seeing the models faces. Thinking about it im not sure if she is trying to bring attention to the giant person and small village or the shoes. Maybe I have got it all the wrong way round. I do like the fact that they could be 2 different point to the photographs giant or shoes. Either way I like the idea and find them very interesting and I hope to bring the same interest into my work.

Editorial Research Lisa Carletta
I found it difficult to find a really interesting shoe photographer that takes photos that don't look like they belong in a catalogue. I came across Lisa Carletta and found her work really creative and in a different way to the last photographer I looked into. After looking into her work I noticed she didn't specialise in shows and was more a set up the scene photographer but I quite liked the idea she had. Just to show you what type of pictures she usual does is the one below.

Editorial Research Peter Lippmann
I came across his work by accident while I was looking for a picture of Dior's advert that I couldn't find but my misery turned into happiness when I found his work and I Love Love Love them he has great ideas and very creative
These are louboutin shoes I nearly missed the shoes at first and just saw a picture of paris, But I absolutely love the idea of hiding them in plain site and because I have a shoe addiction I find this picture exciting...I know I need help.
The above picture was for Marie Clair and he went and sourced the old cars for this picture. Again im fascinated with this picture the way all the colours match and give it that organic type of feel its great and looks elegant all at the same time.
As you can tell by the red sole these are louboutin shoes and this is along the similar lines I would of done with these shoes if I had to photograph them again this makes my inner shoe monster roar!
I think this is a brilliant idea of incorporating the shoes into old paintings at first glance I though this was all a painting. Apparently Louboutin are selling these as art pieces for you to collect......great. Peter Lippmann has really inspired me and im going to see if I could take a leaf out of his book........or should I say shoe.

Editorial Research Fairytale shoes (Cinderella)
So my idea was to go out and do a modern version of Cinderella and these are the pictures I came up with.
These are my very first photos I took and I still love them the only thing I wished was that there was more people around to make it look busy.
These are all my photographs
Editorial Research
I had my editorial the other day with Jamie and he wasn't to caught up on the idea of the staged way I did my wizard of oz shoes with my version of the watch feet being seen he said they were to obvious on the story, but also you couldn't see the shoes very well and if I was doing shoes I needed to be more focused on them. He then showed my a Doir advert that was titled ladys hand bag that showed a field with a pile of rocks and right at the top was a handbag and he suggested I put shoes in places that you wouldn't expect them......so ive been out and took a good few but still trying to keep my fairy take theme.

editorial Research Fairytail shoes (Puss in Boots)
My brother has just got a new kitten and while I was visiting I noticed the kitten playing in a shoe and thought id try and get a few pictures for a puss in boots type shoot. I found it disappointing as I really couldn't get it in a different environment and had to do it in my brothers house. Here is some pictures I did get even though I do find working with animals very difficult.
As much as I love the kitten I found taking these photos very difficult because I couldn't get the location I wanted due to the kitten been to young and the second reason was all he wanted to do was play and wouldn't do what I wanted him to do. So I was really upset with these photos.
I don't think any of these will be ideal for my project and need to look in another direction. But here's a little video of my adventure here.
Editorial Research Fairytale shoes (Brothers Grimm Snow white red hot poker iron shoes)
I enjoyed setting this shot up and my hubby rather enjoyed it to saying he was aloud to set fire to things. We have a little garden chimney on our decking and we had decided to get that alight and my intention was to set fire to the shoes by putting them in the fire but as I was setting things up decided it would be a terrible waste of the shoes. I put the camera on a slow shutter and set about trying to get a prefect shot. At one point my fire bug hubby had the fire burning like an ici chimney and we had embers falling from the fire and burning our deck. My hubby would then come to the rescue with a hose and water all the decking down this give me an idea and when I was ready I told him to start banging the grate that was holding the embers in and this is the picture I got.
I wanted to give these shoes a dark look and feeling about them due to the story being very dark and sinister and im really happy how these pictures have come out and feel I achieved the look I was going for, I think it looks like I took them in the pits of hell. But on the otherside I was upset that I blurred them and I feel it ruined the best pictures I had taking. I took these pictures on a slow shutter. Heres another little video on my plans.

Editorial research Fairy tale shoes (wizard of oz)
I managed to get a model and went hunting for the prefect area I could take my modern day version of the scene where the house lands on the witch, but in my version she has fallen down drunk. So my idea is just to show the legs and the shoes like in the film you just see the witches legs. I went to the church yard in Stockton and found a tree and a raised little hill and started to place my model in a place where I could just see her legs placed a bottle of nearly empty bottle of Jack Daniels that I had to cheat with, with watered down coke. Here is what I managed to come up with.
This is the image edited I really love this one. But my lecturer says it looks a little to staged and obvious what it is meant to be. Which is disappointing as I wanted to stage all my photographs for this project. so im going back out with the camera. I made a little video of the setting up of this picture to help you understand my imagination a bit more.

Professional and Editorial Research Ben Scott Fashion
Ben is one of Australia's top fashion and multi award winning portrait photographers.
With a strong belief in producing images, for any client, that stand out from the rest. Ben has earned respect from his peers in the industry as setting the standard for all photographers without any of the attitude.
Im starting to think of different ways and can take the shoes weather to do them like this, but I am not sure this looks more of a fashion shoot with the shoes not being having as much of a strong presence that I need. There is a link for a video that shows the shoot and the set up and thought that might be handy for my professional studies aswell.

I like the idea of an above shot as you cant see the models face and your eyes are drawn to the....well .....erm puppy .....But then the shoes but with the fairy tale idea I don't think this will be suitable, also im doing all my shots on location.
The idea of this type of shot I like as you know its only for the shoes. I reckon he has put the puppy there as it draws your eye to that level to the shoes. Im not sure weather to do this type of photo or some still life ....or I could do both.
This is still Ben Scotts but looks like a magazine layout and as im doing editorial I thought it may be interesting to see how he has done his obviously this is more fashion and has the brilliant white background but it all looks clean, simplistic, Slick and classy all in one go. which says to me I need to make sure my images stand out enough so they grab you and make you want to read and look at what is on that page.
The above images belong to Ben Scott and the top intro is from his website.

Editorial Research fairytale story shoes the brothers Grimm Snow white
Now this story really excites me and gets my creative juices flowing. Now according to the brothers Grimm fairy tale The evil Queen get a horrible punishment for trying to kill Snow white has to wear poker hot iron shoes and she is forced to dance in them till her feet burn off and then she dies.....I love the idea of trying to recreate this. I have so many ideas on how to do this. weather to set fire to the shoes which be a waste of shoes or to try and make the shoes look white hot hmmmm lots more research in how I can achieve this I think.
Editorial Research fairytale shoes Wizard of oz
For this I was thinking of still keeping it modern and get a grown up pair of ruby slippers and I was thinking of placing them of a cobbled street, the old blue ones and maybe trying to put some other props in the back ground. I'm still thinking on ideas for this and im looking forward for playing about with ideas.
Thee above picture is Stockton flea market and I was thinking as the floor for the this shoot.

Editorial research for the fairystory shoes
This is my idea for one of the fairy-tale shoe shoots. Cinderella, I wanted to make it into a modern Cinderella instead of having her slipper fall off as she is running away from the ball in a modern version I thought I would have 2 girls walking or stumbling down the street after a night on the town and my modern Cinderella loses her shoe due to the drunken state that she is in.
