I've have managed to get my hands on a pair of ballet shoes and was wanting to take these beautiful shoes some where dark and broken due to the fact that in the story the shoe dance the wearer to death. I went and scouted for broken down buildings and I found the old student union bar for university of Durham Stockton campus called the rocket. Its been empty for years and I was hoping to get in there as its ready to be demolished, but when I got there I decided against trying to get in. I walked along the little alley at the side of the Rocket and discovered the buildings next door to it where also empty and found a yard that had broken windows, doors, glass, rubbish and a massive tree just growing in the middle of it all. So naturally I got the ballet shoes out. I took them there and in the alley way facing the rocket due to the fact there was a scary skull and upside down crosses that had been spray painted all over the wall.
I then moved into the alley way
While I was doing another shoe shoot in Stockton I noticed the church yard with the grave stones laid up against the wall and thought this might be good for haunted ballet shoes, so heres some I took there.
I found doing these pictures difficult as the flash seamed to wash out the colour and I found the shoes where to flat on the floor and were difficult to make out what they were and I had to get them propped up so you could make out what they are.
