Editorial project - Research
I have been giving my new project which is editorial based on extra ordinary things now the first thing I thought about disabled people and the struggles they go through and I thought to myself that there might be a few people thinking of doing that., So I went home to have a little think about and thought maybe hospitals and all there life saving equipment. I rang round the closest hospitals to see if I could get in, but everyone I spoke to didn't ring me back or didn't know which department to check with to see if I could I could come in. After speaking with Jamie he told me to leave that idea as there was to much red tape for me to get past. After a bit of discussion I told him about my dad being a bus driver and we decided that I should try taking some portraits of him on a white back grounds similar to what Richard Avalon does. I borrowed a camera and set my white back ground up and my lights and started to take pictures. I hated them I couldn't get the light right on the white back ground it looked grey and depressing. What didn't help was my mam was getting irritated off the heat of the light which caused a bit of tension and gave me the feeling of haste. I thought this would be a good time to take my dads photograph but my dad being my dad who would laugh if his bum was on fire would not take it seriously so with that and the lightening been wrong I wrapped the shoot up for the time being. I decided I needed a bit more practice with the camera as I felt I didn't know my way round the settings so I was taking pictures of the cat as you do and he moved and I took a picture of my fire place instead and on that fire place was my life, pictures of my wedding and my girls and hubby on holiday all my little craft things I've made wooden ornaments of the cat and rabbit that had been bought as memorials to their little life's and my statues of a mum and child. I wondered upstairs to my daughters room and found her shelf had her life on it a picture of her best friends, her toys and a bell she got when we went on the polar express. Then I went into my youngest daughters room and took a picture of her wall as she loves frozen a1 direction and she had their posters up. The next day I went to my mother in laws and took a picture of her wall where she has it full of photographs........I may be onto something here!
