North east Stories -Research- Chris Killip

I saw a Film that Chris Killip made a series of photographs in Skinningrove and the life of a fisherman village. There was a lot of interesting photographs and listening to him talk about it made more sense of what was going on. Listening to him say about certain people who died due to boat accidents actually upset me as I had got used to seeing them in many of the photos. That was unexpected as I didn't know how I felt about the series of photos when I was watching it, but it had its main character's and like a programme or film you become attached to the characters but leaves you with a worse feeling as you know this was real life and that really did happen.

The way he put the photos in order and not random because they were younger and a few had then had died before he left  and them ones were towards the end made it more of an interesting story. If it had been random and all over it wouldn't have meant as much as a life of a person as a matter of fact I think if it wasn't shown in that order it would have been nothing more than just pictures of a village. So I will take this into consideration when I come to place my photos for a story.
