So I have been out with my camera and gave a go at landscape photography as research purposes and if im honest a bit of practice. The first place I went was Whitby car boot and the field I was parked on had some beautiful views.
With this photo I was trying to get the hills that seemed to go into a valley in the middle of the picture.
This photo I wanted to try and get nature in with the fields but I ended up with cars in the shoot so this picture was a fail to me.
This one I wanted to have the landscape blurred in the background focusing on the plant in the fore ground, but looking at this now I don't think it can be classed as landscape.
I wanted the house as the focal point in this picture with the pretty fields surrounding it. But I don't feel these images are interesting to look at just something you would skip past as there is nothing exciting to hold your attention.
From where I was I could see Whitby Abby so I focused in with a 300mm lens to take the photo unfortunately I don't think I was in the best position due to the wooden fence ruining my shot.
I wanted to get a photo with the trees and the hills in the background but to me I don't feel this photo turned out the way I would have liked it too.
For this photo I do think there is to much not happening in the foreground its empty but I do know I was trying to get the setting right on the camera to get the wind when it was blowing the grass to look like water ...but it didn't happen.
Out of all the photos I took I liked this one the most as I tried to frame the land scape with the fence to make the picture a little more interesting.
This is my 2nd attempt at taking Whitby Abbey I felt better with the land scape in this picture as there is no fences in the way and I got the house, cliff and beach in ....very happy me.
All the above images are my own.
